The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health Division (PHD) is seeking a dedicated Newborn Screening Public Health Nurse (Public Health Nurse 2) to join the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory (OSPHL) team.
In this vital role you will help protect the health of Oregons youngest residents by ensuring timely follow-up for newborns at high risk of serious congenital disorders. The Newborn Screening Section tests for more than 45 conditions including Phenylketonuria (PKU) Sickle Cell Disease Congenital Hypothyroidism and Severe Combined Immunodeficiencyconditions where early detection can prevent lifelong disability or even save lives.

Note: Effective Feb. 1 2026 the compensation plan for this position will be increased to reflect a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of 2.5%. The salary listed in this posting does not reflect the COLA.
