Helion Helicopters the strategic joint venture between SAF Aerogroup and Airtelis delivers complex mission-critical helicopter operations across Europe. Specialized in aerial firefighting utility support and heavy-lift services we operate a robust H215 fleet under EASA Part-145 standards. Aircraft Type: Airbus Helicopters H215
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Your Mission
As Chief Engineer you will oversee the full scope of technical maintenance operations to ensure the safety airworthiness and availability of Helions H215 fleet. You will lead teams of licensed engineers and technicians manage daily and deployed maintenance activities and drive compliance with all EASA OEM and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Leadership
- Lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with EASA Part-145 and OEM documentation
- Supervise base and line maintenance including AOG and remote support operations
- Oversee resource planning task allocation tool management and operational logistics
- Interface with OEMs (Airbus Helicopters) and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Ensure tool calibration workshop standards and operational readiness of all equipment
Safety Compliance & QSE
- Implement ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 best practices in all technical operations
- Enforce safety procedures proper PPE usage and environmental responsibility (waste emissions energy)
- Drive safety culture through team briefings audits and continuous improvement programs
- Lead by example and promote full compliance with Helion Helicopters integrated management system
People Management
- Supervise engineers and technicians across bases and deployments
- Manage authorizations certifications and training needs for the maintenance workforce
- Conduct evaluations manage rosters and support talent development
- Communicate HR-related concerns and promote team cohesion
Your Profile
- Proven leadership experience in rotary-wing maintenance under EASA Part-145
- Extensive knowledge of Airbus H215 / Super Puma Series
- Strong command of mechanical and avionics systems
- Skilled in interpreting OEM documentation and maintenance programs
- Proficient with planning software and Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Greek and/or French is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams in operational environments
