Shop Laborer

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

Under the direction of the Branch Manager the incumbent will service and maintain equipment ensure a clean working environment and assist other technicians in the shop as needed. Equipment includes gas/diesel welders and generators electrical inverter and transformer based machines plasma cutters and electrical/mechanical positioning equipment.

• Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arcs health and safety guidelines.

• Ensures a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arcs health and safety guidelines.

• Test and calibrate machines to see if they are functional for rent or sale.

• Repaint parts touch up paint and put decals on welders to keep up the general appearance.

• Replace defective parts and do any preventative maintenance required.

• Get parts as required in order to complete repairs.

• Inspect returned equipment for proper operation and /or damage by the customer.

• Operate a forklift pallet jack or other necessary equipment to move machines and equipment in the shop.

• Maintains communication with all branch personnel.

• Performs other related operational/shop duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
