About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to drive the design development and optimisation of our data infrastructure as we scale our analytics and automation capabilities across the organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for building robust data pipelines shaping our data architecture and ensuring the business has reliable high-quality data to support operational analytical and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership ability thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about enabling data-driven transformation.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the development maintenance and optimisation of data pipelines workflows and integrations across multiple systems.
Design and implement scalable data architectures to support reporting analytics automation and operational insights.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that improve visibility efficiency and performance.
Mentor and support junior engineers and analysts fostering a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.
Evaluate and implement new tools technologies and processes to enhance the data platform and accelerate delivery.
Ensure data security compliance and integrity across all systems and processes.

Experience and Qualification required:

Mathematics/Science/Commerce/IT Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent if substantiated by valid evidence of competency.
3 - 5 years relevant data analysis experience in a professional working environment.
