THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (Title 32) Position Description Number Dand is part of the IL 182 AW National Guard.
As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (Title 32) WGyou will act as the crew chief with responsibility for directing the total maintenance effort on individually assigned aircraft. The work involves the total maintenance of complex high performance military aircraftranging from multi-purpose heavy multi-engine transports to the most modern sophisticated fighters and bombers. Fully responsible for providing detailed technical insight on individual aircrafts level of Mission Capability (MC) then develops and recommends a comprehensive course of action to maintain the aircraft at Full Mission Capability(FMC).

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709) will be in the following manner and sequence:
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - Minimum rank requirement of TSgt & May not exceed the rank of MSgt.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-12 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes experience or training equivalent to or exceeding the WG-10 grade level such as serving as a dedicated crew chief responsible for the overall maintenance servicing inspections and documentation of one or more aircraft. Experience must include coordinating and overseeing the work of subordinate mechanics and journey-level workers across multiple trades performing in-process and final inspections and ensuring adherence to technical publications and local directives. Experience serving as the technical authority to advise on examine and approve air frame mechanical electrical avionics and pneudraulic system repairs. Experience must also include performing operational tests troubleshooting complex malfunctions directing maintenance during mission generation or regeneration operations and planning and conducting training for assigned personnel to meet mission requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
