What will I be doing

A Food & Beverage Order Taker is responsible for answering room service telephone and takes guest orders accurately in a helpful friendly courteous and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Upsells sides desserts and beverages to enhance profitability. Enters order into computerized system and settles check upon delivery of the order. As a Food & Beverage Order Taker you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Promptly answer Room Service calls promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods.
Document orders repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time with speed and accuracy.
Immediately input order information into point of sale system allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
Processes payment for orders upon return of the Room Service Server.
Answer calls for pick-up of trays and/or tables and direct others to retrieve items.
Respond to guest complaints in a positive manner negotiate a compromise and implement solution.
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What are we looking for

A Food & Beverage Order Taker serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviours skills and values that follow:

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
Knowledge of menu items and accompaniments.
Ability to remember recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Very good English language skills sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate preparation methods.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience in Food and Beverage department and/or industry in a luxury environment
Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
