Job Summary

Job Description:

Install configure and manage databases such as MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle or SQL Server in on-prem and cloud environments
Perform database monitoring performance tuning and optimization (queries indexing memory replication)
Manage backup and recovery strategies and execute restore drills to meet RTO/RPO objectives
Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (replication clustering failover)
Handle production issues incidents and root cause analysis (RCA) with minimal downtime
Ensure database security including user access roles privileges encryption and audit compliance
Work closely with application DevOps and infrastructure teams during deployments and migrations
Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and scheduling tools
Perform database upgrades patching and migrations as per best practices
Maintain proper documentation SOPs and operational runbooks
