Job Summary

POSITION: LPN Medical Surgical- 4500

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

Shift hours/Contract Length: 4x12 D/N Rotation 8 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Charting: EPIC experience required

RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission

Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed

Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

Locals Accepted Radius Rule: Locals accepted for LPNs at $55 BR

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Pending License Accepted: No Must have an active New York Single State LPN license. (NY is not Compact)

Required Certifications: BLS

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

Experience Required: Must be able to take own patient assignment with the support of an RN; Acute Care experience within the last 2 years

Vital signs pain assessment intake/output monitoring isolation precautions physical restraints specimen labeling Oxygen administration via nasal cannula Feeding tube management Telemetry monitoring 12-lead EKG

Medication administration (oral IM SQ NG/G-tube ear and eye drops) IV therapy with pumps blood glucose monitoring

Wound care basics (simple dressings JP/Hemovac drains) bathing and mouth care Foley catheter insertion (male/female) clean catch urine collection communication of status changes to RN/MD MS/Tele care setting
