JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer (Telework < 50%)
LOCATION: Orlando FL
PAY RATE: $68.51/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Conceive and model 2D/3D heterogeneous package architectures that meet size weight power and reliability requirements

  • Develop detailed mechanical and electrical designs for thin-film interconnects semiconductor dies and advanced thermal management features

  • Create and execute test plans to validate electrical performance thermal behavior and mechanical integrity

  • Perform failure analysis and iterate designs based on test data simulations and manufacturing feedback

  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation including drawings BOMs specifications and verification reports

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical systems test and product design teams

  • Mentor junior engineers and support the Advanced Packaging SME with technical knowledge transfer

  • Stay current on emerging semiconductor and advanced packaging technologies and recommend solutions for program adoption

  • Support technology readiness reviews and contribute to risk assessments for new packaging concepts

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain secret clearance (not required to start)

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Materials Engineering or a related STEM discipline

  • Creo (CAD): 3 6 years

  • Materials engineering: 2 years

  • Circuit Card Assembly (CCA): 3 6 years

  • PCB board-level design: 3 years

  • Thermal analysis: 3 years

  • BOM creation and Windchill release: 3 6 years

  • Technical drawing creation: 3 6 years

  • Electronics packaging experience: 3 6 years

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Composites and materials experience (1 2 years)

  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience (2 4 years)

  • General materials engineering knowledge (1 2 years)
