Jr. Project Manager - Solution Services
Location: Remote U.S.
Job Description
The Jr. Project Manager - Solution Services supports the planning coordination and execution of NWS Strategic Solution Services across all customer segments and vertical markets. This role assists in ensuring that service engagements are delivered safely on time within budget and with first-time quality. The Jr. Project Manager works closely with senior project managers sales engineering operations logistics and field teams to help scope projects support pricing inputs coordinate resources and track progress throughout the lifecycle of each engagement.
Service offerings supported by this role include kitting and logistics programs network engineering and design services consultative technical staffing and deployment services (installation commissioning and integration support). Projects span Contractors & Wireless Wireless Carriers Internet Service Providers (ISPs/WISPs) and infrastructure owners.
This position does not carry sales responsibilities such as revenue quotas or CRM management. Instead it emphasizes operational execution documentation accuracy coordination quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scoping & Preparation
- Assist in developing project scopes timelines and resource needs in coordination with senior project managers and cross-functional teams.
- Support the preparation of pricing inputs proposals and bill-of-materials for service engagements.
- Help gather technical data site information and customer requirements needed for project planning.
Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities including scheduling task tracking documentation updates and follow-up with internal teams.
- Support logistics engineering and field services teams to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
- Monitor progress against timelines and escalate issues risks or delays to the Project Manager - Solution Services.
Customer & Internal Communication
- Provide clear and timely updates to project stakeholders under the guidance of the senior project manager.
- Assist in preparing status reports meeting notes and customer-facing documentation.
Quality Budget & Schedule Support
- Track labor material usage and progress to support cost monitoring and budget adherence.
- Participate in quality assurance checks and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Help ensure projects meet defined schedule and first-time quality expectations.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and reinforce NWS safety standards in all project activities.
- Support verification that subcontractors and field teams follow required safety protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales engineering operations logistics and finance to support smooth project execution.
- Provide feedback on process improvements documentation updates and workflow efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Project Execution Support
- Timely completion of assigned tasks and milestones.
- Accuracy and completeness of project documentation reports and schedules.
- Adherence to project timelines and minimal escalations due to avoidable delays.
Safety
- Zero recordable safety incidents on supported projects.
- Compliance with NWS and partner safety protocols documentation and checklists.
Quality
- First-time quality rates for tasks owned or coordinated.
- Reduction in rework or corrective items due to documentation or execution errors.
Customer & Team Communication
- Timeliness and clarity of updates reports and stakeholder communications.
- Positive internal feedback on collaboration and responsiveness.
Operational Efficiency
- Accuracy of scoping inputs resource coordination and scheduling support.
- Effective coordination of materials logistics and field activities under supervision.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or project management ideally within telecommunications network deployment engineering services or related fields.
- Fundamental understanding of telecom networks wireless infrastructure fiber/ISP/WISP markets or field service operations preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence with project management tools spreadsheets and documentation systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety quality and process discipline.
- PMP CAPM or similar certification a plus but not required.
