We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective year 5 Teacher to join us on a cover/temporay basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students in Year 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum fostering a love of learning and supporting students academic social and emotional development.
You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity critical thinking and independence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver high-quality engaging lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum ensuring progression in students learning.
- Create a positive inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports students academic social and emotional development.
- Assess monitor and record student progress using data to inform planning and differentiated instruction.
- Support the development of critical thinking independence and a love of learning in all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives.
- Contribute to the pastoral life of the school promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching Upper Primary / Year 5 students.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging well-structured lessons.
- Have a high level of English proficiency with excellent communication skills.
- Show a commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices.
- Be a collaborative proactive professional willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
