Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute sub-acute aged care and community services.

An exciting opportunity exists for a midwife to join the MGP team for a 6 month fixed term contract. This position will allow you to practice across the continuum of maternity care in a supported position whilst developing strong relationships with women and their families.

It will allow you to increase your knowledge and confidence in providing antenatal education higher level intrapartum skills and domicillary care.

This position is 0.7 FTE and does require you to be on call throughout the roster.

Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast.
An easy 2 ½ hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.
