Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Companys Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will be responsible for field support in DC and Atlanta airspaces. Field technician will support FAA contracts FTI ADSB DCNS and any other FSG programs.

Essential Functions:

Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement such as RJ-11 RJ-45 DB-25 V.35 RS-449
Havean excellent working knowledge of fiber working knowledge of MultiplexesNetwork topology Frame Relay Fractional T-1 SONET Network TechnologyATM Private Line Voice and Data applications
Goodworking knowledge of power testing AC and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC powersupplies.
Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications DS3Testing Digital Testing (BERT) and Analog VG Testing within Bell CoreStandards.
Workingknowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HSTAmeritech AM5XT Sage 935 Digital Oscilloscope Halcyon 704A Para-scopeor other T1/DS3 Test sets.
IP Based knowledge with experience configuring routers and switches

Experience installing equipment racks (wallmount raised floors concrete etc.)
Willing to travel (up to 100% of the time) to remote sites within a 3hour drive circle of base location. Technicians may be asked to traveloutside of their assigned region as needed.
Utilize ladders and step stools to reach heights of approx. 10 feet
Willingness and/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and to respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
Travel to FAA site locations within a 3 hour drive from Richmond VA area

Candidate must be able to obtain FAA Security Clearance from Public Trust background investigation
Ability to obtain a FAA Security Clearance

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Posses and maintain a valid Drivers License and satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial (and continued) employment

Preferred Additional Skills:

Network CCNA CCNP CCNA Wireless A
Abilityto work from home in an on-call status.
Capableof lifting 70 pounds
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Richmond VAis $26.20/hr - $48.79/ is not a guarantee of
compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
