Job Posting Details

The application deadline is Friday February 13 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (EST). This is an MEP Pay Grade 16 position. Candidates need to contact Compensation Administration at or for individual salary calculation.   2. Two (2) Professional Letters ofRecommendation signed or electronic signature and dated within the last 12 months (one year) of the application. References must be from a person who can assess your ability as an administrator or your work ethic and character. Letters of recommendation must include the name signature and contact information for the person completing the reference.

Conferred Transcripts with a Graduation Date:Current M-DCPS employees do not need to submit official transcripts if highest degree earned is on file in the Office of Personnel Records ). For external candidates official transcripts will be required if you are recommended for the position. Your degree must be from an accredited university. If the position does not require a college degree you are required to have at least a high school diploma. Candidates with academic training and degrees granted outside the U.S. must submit a credential evaluation report that includes a statement of degree equivalency from an accredited agency in the U.S.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Analyzes monitors executes and reconciles all payroll disbursement and internal control functions. Prepares and reviews financial reports to meet the internal and external reporting requirements in order to properly safeguard Board funds. Complies with federal state local and School Board policies and requirements.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

1. Under direct supervision executes specific functions of the payroll operation.

2. Reviews and approves employee payments and deductions applicable to the department.

3. Under direct supervision analyzes monitors and compiles financial payroll information and reports.

4. Under direct supervision applies and uses federal state and local requirements and School Board policies and requirements to audit and process employee related payments and reimbursements.

5. Utilizes computer software applications including but not limited to SAP Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) Outlook and Access.

6. Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work requires the following physical activities: sitting mobility lifting finger dexterity grasping repetitive motions talking hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration Public Administration Accounting Finance or five (5) years of experience in related field.

2. Proficient word processing and spreadsheet skills and demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
