IT Consultant (Cobol Developer)

As a Cobol Developer you will:

• Design develop and maintain core banking applications.  
• Work closely with the banks team to understand business requirements and implement solutions.  
• Write efficient and scalable code to support the clients core systems.  
• Debug and resolve any technical issues that arise in the production environment. 
• Ensure all code is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications :

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.  
• Working experience in Mainframe Development with Cobol
• Hands-on experience with core banking systems (at least one application area e.g. deposits loans cards etc.).  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems.  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  
• Knowledge of CICS DB2 and JCL.
