Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer (five to ten years of experience) for employment in our Spokane office. Our primary marketplaces are Washington Oregon and Idaho with other potential opportunities across the United States. The successful candidate will be an independent self-motivated and energetic team player who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm.
In this role youll perform and oversee structural analysis and design coordinate with project stakeholders manage schedules and budgets oversee project drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit implement new tools and methods support construction coordination and assist with proposals and business development. An ideal candidate would be looking to grow technically while working on complex projects with the support of our larger team has interest in mentoring younger staff wants to pursue new client relationships and gain exposure to project management.
Qualifications :
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Experience with computer analysis software systems.
- Excellent leadership supervisory and writing and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable consulting to architectural and industrial practices.
- Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients.
- Possess strong critical thinking organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal written organizational and time management skills.
- Design experience with various materials including steel concrete masonry wood and light gauge steel and their associated design standards. Design experience with mass timber is preferred.
- Ability to design lateral and gravity systems of low-rise buildings and buildings with complex geometries.
- Strong understanding of load paths and constructability.
- Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering required.
- Masters degree in structural engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
- Registration as a P.E. required.
- Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Expected Base Salary: $92000 to 102000 depending on education experience and licensure.
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
- Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
- Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
- 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.
