- Assisting intermediate and senior staff with engineering design on a variety of projects.
- Completing detailed engineering drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Developing quantity estimates working day schedules and cost estimates.
- Assisting in the preparation of tender document specifications.
- Providing input into preparation of engineering service proposals.
- Preparation of technical memos and reports for a variety of roadway and transportation projects.
- Occasional field investigations and site visits.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications :
- Completion of a University degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of design experience on transportation engineering projects.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (.) in Ontario or actively pursuing licensure (if not currently licensed the job title will be adjusted as appropriate until licensure is obtained).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing technical specifications for tender documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Effective team player with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle with current registration and insurance.
