How do you excel in this position

The Shop Laborer- Painting provides hands-on support to the Paint Department by assisting with surface preparation material handling masking coating support tasks and general paint booth operations. This role is responsible for performing foundational paint and blast activities to ensure safe efficient and high-quality coating operations.

What are we looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of experience in manufacturing industrial construction or shop environments preferred.
• Exposure to painting blasting coating or mechanical shop work preferred.
• Basic ability to use timekeeping or production tracking systems preferred.
• Basic understanding of shop safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
• Familiarity with surface preparation activities such as cleaning masking and grinding preferred.
• Basic knowledge of material handling practices and safe lifting techniques required.
• Ability to read basic work instructions or job documentation preferred.

What would we love to see

• Experience working in a paint booth blast environment or industrial coating setting.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning skilled trade work.
