About the Internship:
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Intern will support operational excellence initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience with lean manufacturing problem solving and process improvement while contributing to key projects aligned with our Hoshin objectives. The intern will work closely with Engineering Operations and CI leaders on real-world initiatives that directly impact safety quality delivery and cost.
Location: 851 Hemlock Road Morgantown PA
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks (May 18th August 14th)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
*Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing
Interns will support key company initiatives with responsibilities that may include:
Key Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Assist with planning and execution of facility and production line improvements
- Collect analyze and interpret data to identify waste and improvement opportunities
- Participate in problem-solving activities using CI methodologies
- Support documentation of standard work layouts and process changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain improvements
- Present project outcomes and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Business Operations Management or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
