THE ROLE OVERVIEW
As Project Engineer you will be in charge of preparing and developing designs for ground-mounted PV and BESS projects according to project scope technical standards and requirements for the Italian market.
You will be the interface to our central Engineering Team to ensure that designs are according to national and local norms and standards with a strong focus on electrical engineering including reviewing and approving designs and calculations for permitting and execution designs.
You will take responsibility for timely and high-quality delivery of all assigned design outputs in accordance with project schedules. Producing layouts detail drawings electrical schematics calculations and Bills of Material will complement your addition you will coordinate design interfaces with internal teams and external stakeholders.
TASKS
- Take design responsibility for our Italian projects
- Act as local expert and interface to our central Engineering Team to ensure compliance of designs to local norms and standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local norms and standards specifications internal procedures and quality requirements
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all assigned design outputs in accordance with project schedules
- Prepare and develop designs for ground-mounted solar PV projects under established project scope and technical requirements
- Maintain structured and traceable design documentation in line with internal procedures
- Support of construction managers and commissioning engineers.
- Strong communication and coordination with internal teams such as procurement grid construction management commissioning project management etc.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders as required
- Deliver input for technical and commercial risk assessment and cost optimization
PROFILE
- Electrical Engineering degree
- 5 years proven experience in design and detailed engineering of ground-mounted PV power plants and BESS projects in the Italian market.
- Deep knowledge of Italian regulations norms and standards applicable for design and construction of PV power plants
- Strong knowledge of applicable PV-related standards specifications and procedures
- Demonstrated skills and experience to review and prepare detailed design layouts calculations schematics and technical drawings for PV systems
- Experience to manage suppliers and evaluate their deliverables and performance
- Ability to deliver high-quality design outputs on time in line with project schedules
- Experience maintaining structured and traceable design documentation
- Hands-on approach
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English with a full driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Experience with AutoCAD PVcase and PVsyst software would be a plus.
