About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for an Junior Planning Engineer in our Statewide Renewals team that will support senior planners and planners to provide for recommendations for prioritised asset replacement based on asset condition asset risk and levels of service. Whether youre experienced in asset management project management asset data analysis or planning in any field and want to contribute to making WA a great place to work and live then consider this great role working with a high performing team. This role is based in our Leederville office reporting to our Team Leader - Statewide Renewals.

What the role will involve

  • Contribute to an integrated planning approach across the business to enable optimal decisions around timing and scope of investment management of risk and customer service levels
  • Translation of asset management objectives into plans for investment to achieve an optimal balance between cost and risk and the specified level of service
  • Using asset data decision support tools and/or the Asset Class Management Plans to help prepare integrated strategic and tactical asset class investment plans.
  • Support the management and review of the asset condition assessment program for scope and cost within an asset portfolio
  • Develop investment programs business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives
  • Scope and specify capital projects to enable service providers to meet relevant asset portfolio investment objectives

About you

Youll hold a degree or diploma qualification in an engineering discipline or similar and have experience in asset data analysis and asset management to inform planning of water/wastewater asset investment programs. A strong background in data analytics using spatial static and live data systems (e.g. ArcGIS SAP SCADA SQL Server) is highly desirable. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders will be important in this also have the opportunity to travel within the state to observe and understand asset management challenges and maintain regional stakeholder relationships.
