As the Oncology RN Manager youll work consistently with a specific multidisciplinary oncology team serving as a central hub for patient care coordination. Youll help guide patients smoothly from diagnosis through treatment survivorship or palliative caremaking sure nothing falls through the cracks and every transition feels intentional and supported.
Coordinate all clinical care within the oncology clinic to maximize patient safety quality outcomes and satisfactionfor both patients and colleagues
Utilize the nursing process (Assessment Diagnosis Planning Implementation and Evaluation) to coordinate patient care in the clinic setting
Manage and support:
Order entry and EPIC In Basket communication
Patient education and individualized care planning
Appointment coordination and follow-up
Transitions between systems locations and therapies (Radiation Oncology Surgery Chemotherapy Palliative Care Survivorship)
Provide hands-on clinical support including:
Patient triage
Medication administration
Assisting with procedures
Ongoing care coordination during clinic visits
Foster a culture of teamwork respect and shared accountability
Additional Job Description
Experience
Previous oncology nursing experience preferred
Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure & Certifications
Active RN licensure with the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state (required)
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (required or must be obtained)
Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
