The HVDC - High Voltage Direct Current technology has been on the market for the past 70 years and is used among other things totransmitpower over long distances and integrate renewables into the grid with minimal losses using overhead lines underground and submarine cable systems.
In this role you will be part ofMACHControl & Protection Platform R&D department thatis responsible forthe development ofstate-of-the-artcontrolsystemfor HVDC and FACTS applications.
This role is based in Ludvika Sweden.
Howyoullmake an impact
You willbe responsible forthe development and maintenance of valve electronics products whichconstitutethehearthof a HVDC High Voltage Direct Current system.The work requiresdeepunderstanding of electronics and embeddedsystemsboth theoreticalas well aspractical tasks.
Requirement management development of designspecificationsand documentation are part of the work tasks as well.
You will have the responsibility to create robust designs within the cost and time limits with a product lifecycle management perspective.
We work in a modern environment where both rapid prototyping andproductificationtake place. To ourhelpwe have tools and labs for the complete electronic hardware development cycle from early prototype testing to final system verification.
You will have the responsibility of your design in all these steps.

Your background
Degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or similar;Mastersdegree is a plus
Solid experience in digital electronics hardware design
Proficiencyin schematic capture and PCB layout
Handson experience with FPGAs DSPs microprocessors GPUs or SoCs
Experience with highspeed and standard communication interfaces
Strong knowledge of signal integrity EMI/EMC grounding and boardlevel debugging
Experience with verification lab measurements and manufacturingready design (DFx)
Ability to work crossfunctionally and produce clear technical documentation
