$38.20 - $57.30LCH 8P Progressive Care Unit: The 8th floor is considered the step-down unit from the PICU/CVICU. They are a 24- bed pediatric progressive care unit that typically has a patient to nurse ratio of 3:1. All of the cardiac and nephrology children are to be admitted to this flooralong with any child that is considered progressive. This unit also cares for kidney heart and liver transplant patients. Progressive care is initiated when patients require more frequent monitoring or increased nursing care needs.
Expectations Were Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience this position is not for new graduates.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
What Youll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe therapeutic care in accordance with established standards policies and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice clinical decision making compassion and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
About This Location:
Atrium Health Levine Childrens Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds LCH is the largest childrens hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship childrens hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams a newly expanded 24 bed PICU and 20 bed Cardiac ICU an 85-bed Level IV NICU and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Childrens Hospital is also Charlottes only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. LCH has been named a Best Childrens Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 18 consecutive years and is nationally ranked in 7 pediatric specialties. Additionally Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and Atrium Health Levine Childrens Hospital have earned Magnet re-designation from The American Nurses Credentialing Centers (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program.
