PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilizing the framework provided by the Philosophy ProgramOutcomes and Curriculum Plan of the Practical Nursing clinical supervision to no more than ten (10) practical nursing students in agencies that will provide clinical practice to complement classroom and/or laboratory implement and review course syllabi and teaching materials in accordance with the curriculum framework and Student Learning Outcomes of the program with PN Program Director plan implement and evaluate assigned nursing courses in cooperation with the other nursing with the development of policies and procedures for the Practical Nursing Program student and faculty student progress according to evaluation strategies for clinical and/or classroom and/or laboratory accurate and current records of student progress in assigned areas of clinical or classroom advising to students regarding academic and/or clinical progress; provides remediation as student progress regularly to the PN Program student adherence to program policies. Coordinate student behavioral issues with the PN Program Director in accordance with handbook faculty orientation program for PN Program and clinical agencies as assigned. Assist with orientation and mentoring of new program to clinical agency policies and/or affiliation agreements regarding student and faculty practice. Hold periodic meetings with representatives of each cooperating agency to evaluate the experience. Such meetings shall be held at least once per relevant faculty policies of the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School to improve expertise in nursing and teaching through any one or combination of the following: academic study clinical practice certifications and other appropriate learning in Systematic Evaluation Plan for continuing accreditation and Massachusetts Board of Nursing once per month during the program year on the Nursing Faculty Committee during which: Program Evaluation will be discussed including program policies outcomes curriculum budget and progress may be relevant to program maintenance and revision will be in governance expertise in program technology and software collaborative relationships with other school staff and health care in the preparation of the budget. Participate in program spending and purchases. Research new teaching tools provide rationale and cost consideration of all products books and program responsibilities consistent with preparation and work hours as assigned by the PN Program Director or ENVIRONMENT:This position requires long periods of sitting and standing. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet light as found with computer monitors and copying equipment.
