Job Overview
The successful candidate will lead the practical delivery and manage the provision for our U9-U14 goalkeeper programme for both training and matchdays. The U9-U14 Academy goalkeeper coach will be required to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for supporting the development of U9-U14 goalkeepers inline their individual development plans providing both on field and off field support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and delivery of coaching sessions for U9-U14 goalkeepers
Manage the provision and U9-U14 goalkeeper training programme to support their long-term development in line with academy goalkeeping philosophy
Manage schedule so all U9-U14 goalkeepers receive weekly goalkeeper specific training and support on matchdays
Lead the design and implementation of IDPs for U9-U14 goalkeepers and provide feedback to players and parents in line with IDP processes and timelines.
Complete all internal player assessment processes as requested to support the monitoring and tracking of player performance and development.
Make decisions in the best interest of the club and player development in line with the Academies purpose and coaching philosophy that blends developing performance and potential to support long term development.
Be a part of an inter-disciplinary team and work with the Head of Academy Goalkeeping and coaching staff on player progression training and match opportunities.
Work with outfield coaching staff on planning processes and support integration for goalkeepers into outfield training in addition to goalkeeper specific training as requested by the Head Coach of the age group.
Work with senior Academy staff and in line with club recruitment processes and pathway plans to ensure alignment across club completing player assessments as requested for registered players and trialists.
Form positive relationships with players and motivate them towards achieving their potential ensuring their well-being and holistic development.
Lead the design and implementation of IDPs for U9-U14 goalkeepers and provide feedback to players in line with IDP processes and timelines and where appropriate with parents and intermediaries.
Work collaboratively with all Academy goalkeeping staff supporting one another as required in the best interest of long-term player development of all Academy goalkeepers.
Maintain up to date records of training sessions and game time on club systems as required by the Premier League Youth Development Rules.
Attend all relevant CPD events contribute to the club style of play and ensure that Academy principles and training methodologies are delivered consistently and in line with Academy coaching philosophy and the Academy goalkeeper coaching philosophy.
Work with the Head of Academy Football Development and Assistant Head of Academy Football Development to develop self in line with Academy coach competency framework and development action plan.
To carry out any other duties as directed by senior club and Academy staff
Help to ensure the Academy is continually achieving the standards required to retain its category status within the EPPP guidelines.
Any other relevant tasks and duties as directed by senior Academy or Football Department management.
Knowledge
UEFA B Licence
Experience of coaching U9-U14 goalkeepers within an EPPP Academy
Understanding of how to design and implement individual development plans
Understanding of how to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and support integrated on pitch delivery

Expertise as to how to deliver age-appropriate training sessions and provide in game support for U9-U14 players goalkeepers
