Role Overview
The Interventional Radiology Technologist supports minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by assisting physicians preparing equipment and ensuring high standards of patient safety and imaging quality. This role requires experience in interventional and special procedures within an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with interventional radiology and special procedures in a sterile environment
Prepare procedure rooms equipment and supplies
Operate imaging equipment and support image acquisition and documentation
Administer and document contrast media per protocol
Ensure radiation safety standards and infection control practices are followed
Monitor patient condition before during and after procedures
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
ARRT (R) certification (required)
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of EPIC documentation experience
Proven experience in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures
Experience working with PACS systems
