Job Summary
The Opportunity
You will lead the Racing Risk team to deliver best-in-class risk and liability management across the racing wagering and trading environment. You will have accountability for protecting the business and customer outcomes through effective real-time risk controls market oversight and disciplined trading practices while continuously improving efficiency tooling and automation.
As a people leader you will develop and coach a team of analysts and operators operating in a fast-paced high-volume trading environment. It fosters a culture of accountability market awareness and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Head of Risk Operations and key stakeholders across trading product technology and global risk teams this role ensures Racing Risk strategies processes and systems align with commercial objectives regulatory expectations and global wagering best practice.
What Youll Do
- Dive strategic alignment data-driven improvements and strong stakeholder collaboration enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of Racing Risk operations.
- Oversee daily team performance ensuring risks are effectively mitigated processes are robust and insights are leveraged to inform decision-making.
- Lead coach and develop a team of analysts and operators fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous learning.
- Translate Trading Risk strategic objectives into actionable operational plans for the Racing Risk team.
- Act as a key liaison between Risk and Trading influencing effective management of price assurance market errors and liabilities.

- Proven leadership experience within operational fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multiple departments and organisational levels.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable improvement in processes and controls.
- Familiarity with compliance and risk frameworks relevant to wagering.
- Understanding of GenAI or automation tools that can enhance operational performance.
