Construction Truck Driver Non-CDL DOT

Location: Odessa TX

Type:Full Time

General Information/Job Summary

The Driver will transport equipment and material (skid steers trailers pipe small equipment safety supplies etc.) in and around major areas of oil and gas industry facilities.

Responsibilities/Competencies

Transport equipment or material within customer locations using a variety of different trailers. (utility trailers pipe trailer cargo trailers etc.)
Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and fellow employees.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Comply with driving rules and regulations as well as Saulsburys policies and procedures.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects accidents and violations.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a driver.
Hands on experience with hauling trailers strapping down and securing loads.
Capable of driving long hours (60-70 hrs. weekly) most of the driving is performed locally.
Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic weather conditions etc.).
4 years truck driving experience required.
Must meet all DOT requirements.

Safety Requirements

On a continual basis promotes an awareness of environmental health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies
Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.

Physical Requirements

Manual and finger dexterity.
Eye-hand coordination.
Depth perception.
Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arms reach. (Far visual acuity)
Ability to see small detail.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to reach above the head while sitting or standing.
Ability to reach below knees while standing.
Ability to stoop or kneel.
Ability to work at heights.

Employees in this position must be able to perform under the following conditions:
