Job Summary
Valley View Village a Cassia community is hiring Dietary Aides to join our friendly and dedicated culinary team! Whether youre new to senior care or have experience we provide hands-on training in a supportive environment where you can grow and thrive. As a Dietary Aide at Valley View Village youll assist with meal preparation food service and cleanup to help create a positive dining experience for our residents. Our Culinary Department is a fun collaborative team thats appreciated by both residents and staff. Position Type: Part-Time
Shifts Available:
Day:6:30 am to 3:00 pm (weekends)
Evening: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (weekends)
Location:2571 Guthrie Ave Des Moines IA 50317
Dietary Aide Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to residents staff and families.
- Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
- Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
- Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
- Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
- Assist residents employees and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Read and understand procedures for work assignments instructions and menu requests.
- Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
