Position Overview
Responsible for operating public transit vehicles to transport passengers to various destinations within the service area in a safe timely and professional manner. This position provides critical contributions to support Clallam Transit Systems (CTS) mission.
Summary of Required Qualifications
High school diploma or high school equivalency.
Five consecutive years of licensed driving experience.
A valid drivers license or ability to obtain. Meet all requirements and obtain a class B Washington State commercial drivers license (CDL) with proper licensure during training period.
Paid training is provided at Clallam Transit System for obtaining the required CDL.
Summary of Working Conditions
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with CTS policy and federal regulations. Represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 587.

$27.57-$34.46 per hour: Starting wage is $27.57 per hour moving $29.29 per hour after successful completion of the 180-day probationary period. Operators receive pay increases on their anniversaries up to $34.46 (2024-2026 wage scale) and annual cost of living increases.
