The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Alexa MGMT and its portfolio of properties. This role ensures accurate financial reporting compliance with accounting standards timely month-end close activities and effective daily accounting operations tailored to a multi-property hospitality environment.
Accounting Operations
Lead and perform month-end close activities including journal entries account reconciliations and balance sheet maintenance.
Prepare and analyze financial statements supporting schedules and variance analysis.
Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows ensuring precise posting and proper internal controls.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure accounting activities are compliant with laws and company policies.
Support audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and assist with financial reporting.
Process & System Improvements
Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of accounting systems and workflows.
Support the implementation of standardized procedures across properties.
Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff on processes and systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with operations payroll people operations and property leadership on financial matters.
Assist with cash flow forecasting and budgeting support as needed.
Serve as a key financial resource for internal stakeholders.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
36 years of general accounting experience; hospitality or multi-entity accounting preferred.
Proficiency in accounting systems including Quickbooks.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience in hotel management or hospitality accounting environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear communicator comfortable collaborating across teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing business setting.
