DescriptionThe Data Analytics intern will support the Priesthood and Family department by creating dashboards and reports that provide clear actionable insights for department leaders. This role is ideal for a student completing a bachelors degree or a recent graduate who is eager to gain hands on experience in digital analytics data visualization and customer journey reporting.
This paid internship is for 6 months 20 hours a week based at Church Office Building in Salt Lake City UT with the option to work fully remote with some flexibility around academic schedules if the intern is still a student.
Responsibilities- Build update and maintain dashboards using digital analytics and visualization tools.
- Monitor and analyze data from mobile web and social platforms to identify trends patterns and insights.
- Assist with standardizing reporting including dashboard formatting data definitions and recurring reporting templates.
- Conduct basic data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics and dashboards.
- Support ongoing analytics projects by gathering requirements pulling data and preparing summary insights.
- Help interpret data for stakeholders by transforming complex analytics into clear simple visuals and narratives.
- The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines work in harmony with other people take direction on each assignment and give full attention to detail.
QualificationsPreferred Skills & Knowledge
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics Google Analytics or other digital analytics tools.
- Basic experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI Adobe Workspace and/or Tableau.
- Understanding of key concepts in digital analytics (page views sessions clickthrough rates conversion paths user journeys).
- Ability to write simple queries or perform basic analysis using SQL R or Python (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity about what data can reveal.
- Ability to work independently while contributing collaboratively to team projects.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university or have finished a degree within a year of starting the internship.
While we are open to all majors we are particularly looking for those studying data science analytics computer science information systems or a related field.
Additional qualifications we look for are:
- Sound understanding of Church doctrine and a love of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- The ability to manage many projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- A careful attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professionalism and the ability to work well with a variety of people.
- Although this position has the ability for remote work you must be authorized to work in the United States and be living in the United States.
