COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidates qualifications skills competencies experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

  • Operations Analyst III - salary range - $77900- $99320
  • Sr. Operations Analyst salary range - $87950 - $112190
  • Lead Operations Analyst salary range - $97580 - $126790

Join our team as an Operations Analyst in the Operational Planning department!

The Operational Planning Operations Analyst develops maintains and enhances the processes procedures and controls used by Operational Planning personnel to perform SPP operational functions. This role ensures compliance with all applicable governing criteria standards tariffs protocols business practices and regulations while supporting a high level of reliable electric service.

The Analyst works under guidance from a Supervisor or Manager and collaborates closely with engineers and analysts across the Operational Planning team to define and implement requirements for operational tools and processes as part of an integrated system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operational planning processes procedures and controls to support reliable system operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry governing documents standards tariffs and regulations.
  • Support and enhance Operations systems and tools in collaboration with engineers and analysts.
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and support stakeholder-driven processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to SPP committees and working groups.
  • Apply strong teamwork coordination and problem-solving skills to implement effective operational solutions.
  • Promote and apply SPP culture mission and core values in all work activities.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.

To be successful as an Operations Analyst were looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline; Two (2) years of job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Operations Analyst III - Four (4) years of job-related work experience (In excess of Educational Requirements above)
  • Sr. Operations Analyst - Six (6) years of job-related work experience (In excess of Educational Requirements above)
  • Lead Operations Analyst - Ten (10) years of job-related work experience (In excess of Educational Requirements above)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal and teamwork skills
  • Documented experience in power system engineering operations engineering transmission planning or related disciplines
  • Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures

Preferred:

  • NERC Certification

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of the workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 extended hours may be required.

Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal (0-20%) travel
