Technical Acumen

• Minimum 5 years experience in configuration and/or integration with Guidewire PolicyCenter

• Certified in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration or Guidewire Integration

• Experience with cloud native APIs and integration points ( Rest SOAP)

• Knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter is an asset

• Experience with ski release functionalities (Integration Gateway App Events Autopilot) is an asset

Translating Vision into Action

• Develop new solutions as required for engineering programs and projects within assigned area

• Develop new features and perform unit / component test for new application development initiatives aligned to business needs and in accordance with technology architecture standards

• Support business enquiries and business activities through execution of small enhancements and break / fix implementations

• Analyze the technical requirements to recommend pragmatic and sound engineering specific solutions for own area; will be involved in coding/story estimates

• Provide warranty support for features in production

Solution Design and Documentation

• Maintain and contribute to technology documentation as well as knowledge sharing

• Able to make key design decisions evaluating short term gains against long term sustainability.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor junior developers and actively participate in code reviews

• Identifies and mitigates Technical Debt wherever possible with a conscious effort

• Is able to manage key Stakeholders within and outside the POD

Ensuring Technical Standards

• Work with technology partners to ensure the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals

• Thorough code Review best practices alignment and Gunit coverage.

• Help review acceptance criteria and regression

• Actively look for opportunities where code can be optimized against a chosen functionality in the deliverable
