Salary$107723.00 - $161595.00Overlake Medical Center has opportunity for a full time Infection Preventionist. This role collaborates with the Manager on all infection prevention related activities associated with surveillance performance improvement and education which are intended to ensure that the facilitys patients staff and visitors will be protected from transmission of diseases and infection within the facilitys environment. Responsible for ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission Standards State and CMS regulations and for facilitating the daily activities of the Infection Prevention Department.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Nursing program with current licensure or Bachelors degree required. Masters degree strongly preferred.
Four (4) years of previous work experience in a hospital setting public health clinical quality or performance improvement preferably in infection prevention OR two (2) years with a Masters degree.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or obtain within 2 years PLUS one of the following if applicable:
If RN current Washington State RN license
If a certified Medical Technologist the certification must be from the ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts)
If clinical quality or performance improvement Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
