$44.15 - $66.25RN Supervisor - 9B Neuro Intermediate
9B Neuro Intermediate is a 19-bed unit with 12 intermediate beds and 7 telemetry/acute beds. This unit serves a diverse patientpopulation with complex neurological needs that includes increased neurological assessment standards frequent monitoring nursing interventions complex care coordination and rehabilitation needs by physical occupational and speech therapy. Typical patient population cared for comprise of post-surgical care for craniotomies deep brain stimulator placement embolization twist drill procedure seizures SAH with surgical interventions and lumbar drains. Due to the high acuity of patient care the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 for intermediate level and 1:4 5 ratios for acute level.
This is the only hospital in this area that performs craniotomies. 9B works with brain surgeons regularly as this is a major specialty on this unit. If you are a nurse looking for a career in ICU this is a great starting point to build your experience to grow into an intensive care unit!

Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking standing sitting lifting reaching stooping bending pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients medical equipment and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight hearing smell and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
Education Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in appropriate state. Minimum two years nursing experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program. BLS required per policy guidelines. Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam. Additional education training certifications or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.
