Job Summary

The Material Handler 2 position exists to facilitate the distribution of goods into within and out of the warehouse. This position loads and unloads trucks places goods into storage and moves inventory as needed. Will use all manner of warehouse equipment including electric and propane forklifts swing reach trucks manual and electric pallet jacks ladders and PCs utilizing the appropriate software. Responsible for proper receiving of all goods both physically and through the accounting system. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Warehouse:Receives dock door deliveries and small parcelsProvides first level auditing of incoming goodsRecords receipts into inventory/acct systemRuns Production ReportsProduct retrieval - all rack levelsProduct put away - all rack levelsDelivers product to various staging areasPerforms local post office and on campus deliveries with the truck or van. Appropriately maintains receiving documentsResolves discrepanciesManages stores and retrieves ministry departmental archivesProvides normal process task trainingOffloads full containers and double stacked loadsOperates basic warehouse equipment including pallet wrapper electric pallet jacks manual pallet jacks and weight count scalesPasses OSHA required training to operate specialized and complex mobile Material Handling equipment such as ride along pallet jacks sit down forklifts narrow aisle order pickers and swing reach turret trucks. May perform shipping duties as needed:Packs orders into various packagesGenerates and applies labels through computerized shipping systemAssists with pick up and deliveries of incoming and outgoing mail/package to department mail stationsPicks up and delivers all incoming and outgoing packagesPrepares and ships expedited and special ordersTeam Responsibilities:Develops ideas and suggestions toward continuous process improvement; takes personal responsibility for quality of the teams resultsTakes personal responsibility for housekeeping and safety within the teams work areaContributes toward meeting predetermined performance objectivesRemains flexible and willing to work anywhere with any team member when there is a needRemains dependable and punctual has a good attendance recordWorks under direct supervision refers questions to MH 3 or Leadership Other Duties/Responsibilities:All In Plant Staff has cross train opportunities and are expected to engage in non-specialized work in other areas.
