Job Summary
Description
- Repairing and maintaining sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems ensuring strict adherence to performance standards
- Applying advanced techniques such as welding cutting and bending to fabricate custom sheet-metal parts in alignment with design specifications
- Conducting inspections and quality checks on sheet-metal assemblies and components to identify defects or ensure compliance with standards
- Collaborating with technical teams to implement modifications or upgrades on sheet-metal systems to support project needs
- Preparing technical documentation and maintaining records of repair and fabrication activities to ensure traceability and compliance with DoD requirements

Requirements
- Four or more years of experience in a sheet-metal worker role
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to design fabricate and repair sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and DoD standards
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints technical drawings and schematics for precise cutting bending and assembly of sheet-metal materials
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced equipment such as power rollers presses and welding tools for maintenance and repair operations
- Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to aid in customization and adjustments during fabrication
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems involving sheet-metal components in operational environments
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including engineering and manufacturing departments for repair and maintenance initiatives
- Knowledge of quality assurance and process control standards for sheet-metal fabrication and maintenance processes

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
