T-Mobile is Americas supercharged Un-carrier delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Product Owners is located in Frisco TX will develop deep understanding of customer experience especially at a tactical and transaction level.

Telecommuting is permitted but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

Position duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintains Agile (Scrum / Sprint) team backlog with input from customer Product Manager System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders (team backlog consists mostly of user stories it also includes defects and enablers).

  • Collaborate with Agile team and stakeholders to write user stories and requirements that include acceptance criteria and acceptance tests typically for 1 or 2 (max) Agile / Scrum teams.

  • Review and prioritizes Agile Team backlog for Iteration (Sprint) Planning including coordination of dependencies with other Product Owners (PO).

  • Review and assesses enabler work understands scope of the upcoming enabler work and collaborates with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the technical infrastructures that will host the new business functionality. Ultimately determining where when and priority of enabler work so that it can be included in sequence in Team backlog(s).

  • Serve as primary resource (and source of truth/single point of contact) to Technical (Dev) team and Customer team for user story details. Highly available to technical team during iteration (sprint) in order to answer real time questions and provide clarity to user stories.

  • Manage and maintain efficient flow of just-in-time story elaboration activities (user story refinement) throughout team execution typically maintaining 2 iterations (sprints) worth user stories available and ready in team backlog.

  • Participate in team demo with primary responsibility of reviewing and accepting completed user stories (PO is the only team member who can accept as done). This includes validation that stories meet acceptance criteria and meets teams Definition of Done (DoD).

  • Participate in Iteration Retrospective where teams gather to improve their processes. Also actively supports the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshop.

  • Oversee the PI system demo which is part of the I&A workshop. The PO has an instrumental role in producing the Plant Information (PI) system demo for program stakeholders ensuring representation of user stories within POs scope.

  • Coordinate user story functional and technical dependencies with other Product Owners throughout each iteration and Program Increment. This is often done in weekly PO/ART sync meetings.

  • Work across Agile teams to define and implement improvement stories that will increase velocity and quality of the program.

  • Takes ownership of user story quality and performance in production environment.

  • Develop positive working relationships with Customer groups or Customer Representatives.

  • Collaborate and develop positive working relationships with technical and non-technical teams including sales commercial accounting marketing legal go-to-market and finance. Works with outside partners and other third parties.

  • Develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in professional societies.

  • Actively participate in T-Mobile Product Owner/Manager Community of Practice (COP).

Minimum requirements:

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Computer and Information Technology Computer Science or related and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer and Information Technology Computer Science or related and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Skills requirements: Requires experience in each of the following skills:

JIRA Trello Confluence MS Project in leading the teams to have Agile backlog sprint tracking planning and tracking of project milestones and product vision.

Enterprise systems like Active Directory/LDAP for user provisioning SSO/OAuth for secure authentication across systems and ITIL Framework for ITSM based ServiceNow implementations.

ServiceNow ITSM Development using JavaScript for scripting in ServiceNow HTML/CSS for UI customizations and JSON/XML for data formatting for integration to translate the Business requirements with technical details in the user stories.

Integration tools like REST/SOAP APIs Postman in integrating with other Enterprise systems like MuleSoft and Dell Boomi.

Designing ServiceNow ITSM solutions through visual diagrams using Microsoft Visio and Lucid Chart tools to describe the process flows of the ServiceNow Catalog items.

ServiceNow Performance Analytics for building ServiceNow CMDB health dashboards and KPIs tracking maturity of CMDB Power BI/Tableau for data visualization and reporting and Microsoft Excel for data modelling.

  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience.

  • At T-Mobile employees in regular non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
