Job Summary
Lifetime Products located in Clearfield Utah designs and manufactures consumer products for major retailers around the world including Sporting Goods Lawn & Garden Water Sports Play Sets and Tables & Chairs.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Color Material Finish Designer to join our research and development team. As an integral part of our design process you will be responsible for creating compelling brand-aligned color material and finish solutions that elevate product design and desirability enhance user experience and ensure feasibility from concept through global production. Experience in consumer hardgoods is a plus.
What Youll Do:
- Forecast global color material and finish trends across multiple categories including Sporting Goods Lawn & Garden Outdoor Recreation Play Systems and Tables & Chairs.
- Present CMF strategies trend and inspiration reports including user archetypes and mood boards to stake holders.
- Create detailed CMF specification sheets including color and color pallet naming in collaboration with Marketing Design Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Ensure first article part CMF integrity from specification to production.
- Guide our global color lifecycle management across all categories.
- Maintain a physical CMF library to promote collaboration and inspire elevated design.
What Youll Bring:
- Education: Bachelors degree in CMF/ Industrial Design.
- Design Expertise: Proven track record of CMF conceptualization and implementation across product categories.
- Excellent presentation skills in creating compelling CMF presentations that influence and inspire.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite Keyshot and CMF visualization tools.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated CMF storytelling conceptualization and production execution.
