Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Data Scientist role.

Experience:

Minimum of four years but six will be advantageous experience in the application of Artificial Intelligence models.
Minimum of four years but six will be advantageous hands-on experience with data science tools.
Minimum of four years but six will be advantageous experience in the use of querying and programming languages such as Python R T-SQL etc.
Minimum of four years but six will be advantageous experience in data mining mathematics and statistical analysis.
Proficiency in cloud platforms and business intelligence technologies.
Experience in guiding project teams and ensure solutions are developed and deployed according to approved design and meet business requirements.
Solid understanding of the project life cycle of Built SaaS and Commercial Off the-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
Minimum three years experience in writing scripts for data query analysis.
Minimum three years experience in developing business intelligence (dashboards operational reports) solutions.
Minimum three years experience in ETL implementations.

The following experience will be advantageous:

Minimum three years experience in the IT software development environment
Solid experience in the compilation of a Terms of Reference document
Conduct research and options analysis to determine optimal ways of solution acquisition for business.

Education:

Bachelors degree in statistics applied mathematics data/computer science or related discipline a postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
An industry certification in Data Science

Skills:

Data Wrangling proficiency in handling imperfections in data is an important aspect of a data scientist job description.
Experience with Data Visualisation Tools like matplotlib ggplot . PowerBI that help to visually encode data
Excellent Communication Skills ability to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience.
Strong Software Engineering Background
Problem-solving aptitude
