Position Summary Bancroft School seeks a Middle School World Language Substitute teacher for a long-term/six-week position starting February 2026. This position includes teaching Spanish from introductory levels through Middle School Level 1.
Essential Responsibilities- Teach 4 sections of Middle School English (1) 6th grade (1) 7th grade (2) 8th grade
- Consistent and regular communication with students parents and advisors
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Spanish or related education field (Masters preferred)
- Three to five years of teaching experience preferred
- Experience in and enthusiasm for implementing inquiry-based learning
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction
- Familiarity with best practices for equitable teaching and learning environments
Essential Attitudes & Aptitudes- A collaborative spirit
- A willingness to participate and partner with colleagues on curricular and cultural initiatives
- An understanding of and care for students of different ages
