Job Summary
Our research group in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a postdoctoral position to assist with the design and implementation of psychosocial and community-based health service interventions among underserved older adult populations to increase access to mental health interventions. Familiarity with and developing a track record of productive investigation and experience in mental health psychosocial program or intervention development are preferred. The position requires a person who has PhD in Clinical Social Work Clinical Gerontology or Clinical Psychology or a related field has excellent verbal and written communication skills is team-oriented organized and detailed oriented able to contribute scientifically in terms of the development of interventions manuscripts and assist in submission of grants. This position will include responsibility for oversight and management of research coordinators. The fellow will work closely with Dr. Jin hui Joo MD MA.Qualifications
Required:
Knowledge of mental illness health behaviors behavior change and exposure to behavioral interventions
Previous experience working with older adults in clinical research settings
Previous experience in recruiting and enrolling research participants in the community
Knowledge of strategies for research engagement
Experience with protocol development
Experience with data collection and management
Previous experience with research publications
Knowledge of and ability to lead quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong organizational and meticulous attention to detail
