A Day in the Life of an Environmental Services Manager

The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a sanitary safe and inviting atmosphere for all patients visitors and staff at our facility. This position involves supervising day and evening environmental services staff conducting quality assurance inspections and ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations. Effective collaboration with the EVS Director is essential to manage department operations including training scheduling and resource allocation. Challenges include adapting quickly to changing needs managing confidential information and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control. The role demands hands-on management to fulfill both routine and unexpected departmental needs.

Education and Experience

Required

• High School diploma or GED

Preferred

• EVS experience is and supervisory experience
• Healthcare experience
• Associate degree

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individuals experience level preferred education/certifications along with market conditions.
