Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Sales Clerk to join our team at a very busy feed store. This position involves assisting customers processing sales handling cash and supporting daily grain and feed operations. The ideal candidate is friendly detail-oriented and comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly professional and timely manner
Accurately prepare sales tickets and grain tickets
Operate a grain scale and ensure correct weights and documentation
Probe grain trucks as part of receiving procedures
Help dump grain trucks
Balance the daily cash box and prepare daily deposits
Handle cash checks and other payment methods accurately
Communicate clearly with customers coworkers and management
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and store policies

Physical & Technical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift and move 50-pound bags of feed
Comfortable working around grain trucks equipment and scales
Ability to stand walk bend and lift for extended periods
Basic math and record-keeping skills
Willingness to learn store systems and grain-handling procedures

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable punctual and trustworthy
Ability to work well in a fast-paced busy environment
Previous retail agricultural or feed store experience is a plus but not required

Work Environment

Busy feed store with frequent customer interaction
