Position Overview

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager Behavioral Health to oversee daily operations of an acute care Behavioral Health Nursing Unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe compassionate and high-quality patient care through effective staff leadership operational oversight and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Nursing Unit

• Provide leadership coaching and professional development to nursing staff

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care

• Oversee staffing scheduling workflow and performance management

• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment for behavioral health patients

• Support crisis prevention de-escalation and intervention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience as a Nurse Manager Supervisor or Clinical Team Lead

• Prior leadership experience within an Acute Care Behavioral Health Unit required

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 30 days of start date

Preferred Experience

• Acute Care Behavioral Health leadership experience strongly preferred

• Strong background in nursing administration staff development and patient safety
