Supervisor: Site Coordinator Location: Williamstown Elementary School (Northfield VT) Schedule: School Year: 20 to 25 hours per week; Monday-Friday 2:15-5:15 p.m. required on program days. Summer: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 5 weeks in July and August. Compensation: $23/hour Purpose: The Assistant Site Coordinators primary role is as behavior support person for students during afterschool program time. Other key responsibilities are assisting the Site Coordinator to ensure effective day-to-day operation of the program and developing and implementing program-improvement plans. Minimum Qualifications: Be at least eighteen years of age Have a high-school diploma or equivalent and have one of the following within the first year of employment: o Vermont Afterschool Foundations Certificate or o Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate or o Vermont OnTheJob Training certificate or o Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential or o Vermont Program Director Credential or o Vermont Teacher Licensure or o BA/BS or Associates Degree Knowledge and Skills: Strong administrative and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with children who have a wide range of behaviors academic abilities and extracurricular interests. Knowledge of Project-Based Learning (PBL) PBiS Common Core and Responsive Classroom preferred. Certification in CPR First Aid Handle with Care and Crisis Prevention (or consent to acquire these). Knowledge of MS Office especially MS Office and Google platforms. Familiarity with state and federal laws relating to education and childcare. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Site Coordinator in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for staff and students while ensuring smooth day-to-day program operations. Provide behavior management support and restorative conflict resolution. Assist with implementation of Program Quality Assessment action plans. Prepare plans and materials for activities. Assess injuries and administer basic first aid. Fulfill Site Coordinator or Program Staff duties and responsibilities in case of need or absence. Understand and implement safety protocols. Meet with Afterschool Site Coordinator regularly. Attend orientations professional development trainings and staff meetings as required. Complete all other tasks as required.
