Job Summary

An outpatient surgery center in Cumming GA is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support surgical services by preparing operating rooms assisting surgeons during procedures and maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards. This role requires efficiency attention to detail and strong collaboration within the surgical team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures ensuring proper setup of instruments equipment and supplies
Maintain a sterile field throughout all surgical procedures
Assist surgeons by passing instruments supplies and equipment during operations
Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly during procedures
Perform surgical counts and verify accuracy of instruments sponges and sharps
Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
Follow infection control safety and regulatory standards
Participate in operating room turnover and cleaning between cases
Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow
Document procedures according to facility policies and requirements

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist within the specialty
BLS certification required
NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center is preferred
