The Role
Join Australias most trusted media organisation and lead the way in creating engaging innovative programming that connects communities and reflects the diversity of our audiences.
As the Local Manager you will target commission and deliver programming for ABC Local to ensure maximum focus on audience needs and output quality. Youll provide editorial leadership across all locally commissioned and live/flow programming including oversight of digital content and manage program direction for the Local Radio station through the selection evaluation and scheduling of content to attract engage and build audiences.
Working closely with Community Engagement team to support ABC wide community engagement initiatives youll manage internal communications for the South Australian team to ensure the ABC brand remails strong.
Youll provide editorial leadership guide emergency broadcasting when required and lead a talented team to deliver exceptional content and audience experiences.

About You
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in content strategy and programming within broadcasting or a similar industry of scale and complexity. You bring a strategic mindset exceptional editorial judgment and the ability to influence and deliver in a complex stakeholder environment.
Your track record includes managing large multi-disciplinary teams developing talent and creating a high-performance culture. You understand audience trends digital engagement and the evolving media landscape.
